Over the past 5 years, the students with whom I have worked have gained admission to the UCs of their choice at a rate proven to be higher than the average acceptance rate.

Fall 2011

The Fall 2011 average acceptance rate for freshman applicants at Berkeley was 21% (source: UC Berkeley Press Release) and at UCLA it was 25.29% (source: UCLA Profile of Admitted Freshmen Fall 2011). The average acceptance rate for transfer applicants at Berkeley was 25.25% (source: UC Berkeley Fall 2011 Transfer Admissions Data) and at UCLA it was 27.19% (source: UCLA Profile of Admitted Transfer Students Fall 2011).

Application/Personal Statement Service: I helped 13 freshman applicants and 17 transfer applicants assemble their application and/or personal statement. Of those students, 5 freshman applicants (38.5%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both, and 13 transfer applicants (76.5%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both. I helped 2 transfer applicants with their Haas Supplemental Application and both (100.0%) were accepted to Haas.

Supplemental Questionnaire Service: I helped 4 freshman applicants assemble their Supplemental Questionnaire response and 1 student (25.0%) was accepted at the UC where the Supplemental Questionnaire was issued.

Waitlist Statement Service: I helped 1 freshman applicant and 2 transfer applicants assemble their Waitlist Statement response. All three students (100.0%) were accepted to UC Davis where they were originally placed on the waitlist.

Appeal Service: I helped 12 freshman applicants and 5 transfer applicants assemble their admission denial appeal. Of those students, 4 freshman applicants (33.3%) were accepted on appeal and 2 transfer applicants (40.0%) were accepted on appeal.

Fall 2010

The Fall 2010 average acceptance rate for freshman applicants at Berkeley was 21.4% (source: UC Berkeley Press Release) and at UCLA it was 22.62% (source: UCLA Profile of Admitted Freshmen Fall 2010). The average acceptance rate for transfer applicants at Berkeley was 28.7% (source: UC Berkeley Newsletter for Transfer Counselors) and at UCLA it was 28.98% (source: UCLA Profile of Admitted Transfer Students Fall 2010).

Application/Personal Statement Service: I helped 12 freshman applicants and 12 transfer applicants assemble their application and/or personal statement. Of those students, 4 freshman applicants (33.3%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both, and 8 transfer applicants (66.7%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both.

Supplemental Questionnaire Service: I helped 2 freshman applicants assemble their Supplemental Questionnaire response and none (0.0%) was accepted at the UC where the Supplemental Questionnaire was issued.

Appeal Service: I helped 4 freshman applicants and 8 transfer applicants assemble their admission denial or revocation appeal. Of those students, 1 freshman applicant (25.0%) was accepted on appeal and 2 transfer applicants (25.0%) were accepted on appeal.

The Fall 2009 average acceptance rate for freshman applicants at Berkeley was 21.6% and at UCLA it was 21.9%. The average acceptance rate for transfer applicants at Berkeley was 28.5% and at UCLA it was 34.8%. Source: UC StatFinder

Application/Personal Statement Service: I helped 14 freshman applicants and 9 transfer applicants assemble their application and/or personal statement. Of those students, 5 freshman applicants (35.7%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both, and 7 transfer applicants (77.7%) were accepted at either Cal or UCLA or both.

Supplemental Questionnaire Service: I helped 3 freshman applicants assemble their Supplemental Questionnaire response and all 3 (100%) were accepted at the UC where the Supplemental Questionnaire was issued.

Appeal Service: I helped 3 freshman applicants and 3 transfer applicants assemble their admission denial appeal. Of those students, 1 freshman applicant (33.3%) was accepted on appeal and 2 transfer applicants (66.7%) were accepted on appeal.

Supplemental Questionnaire Service: I helped 1 freshman applicant with the Supplemental Questionnaire response and that student (100.0%) was accepted at Cal where the Supplemental Questionnaire was issued.
